We also operate a specialty program for individuals living with serious and persistent mental health conditions such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and treatment-resistant depression. This program is based on a CBT framework developed and clinically evaluated by Dr. Michael Best, ensuring that clients receive research-backed support to promote recovery and quality of life.

Assessments
A psychological assessment helps clarify your mental health needs and provides insight into both areas of strength and difficulty. Assessments can assist in diagnosis, guide effective treatment, and support applications for school or workplace accommodations.

We offer two main types of assessments:
1. Psychodiagnostic Assessment — identifies mental health conditions and informs treatment planning.
2. Comprehensive Psychological Assessment — includes diagnostic evaluation plus cognitive testing to assess learning, attention, memory, and intellectual functioning. This type of assessment can diagnose ADHD, learning disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder, and provides detailed cognitive profiles.

All assessments are conducted by licensed psychologists and include a written report and feedback session to help you understand and apply the findings.
Treatments

At CCCBT, our treatments are grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), the gold standard for evidence-based psychotherapy. Our clinicians also integrate complementary approaches, including Cognitive Remediation Therapy, EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, and Exposure Therapy, depending on each client’s needs.
Treatment is typically time-limited and goal-focused, designed to equip clients with practical tools and coping strategies they can apply independently. Most treatment plans last 10–20 sessions, though some may be longer depending on complexity and progress.
Our therapists work with clients aged 14 to 75, offering specialized care for adolescents, adults, and older adults with psychosis or mood disorders.
What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is one of the most scientifically supported forms of psychotherapy. It is based on the understanding that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are interconnected, and that changing unhelpful thought patterns can lead to positive changes in emotion and action.
